Real answers.

The questions buyers actually ask. Direct answers. Numbers where they belong.

[ 01 ]

What is a fractional COO?

+

A part-time chief operating officer, embedded inside a company. Typically one to three days a week. Builds operations, process and execution from inside the team rather than from the outside.

[ 02 ]

How much does a fractional COO cost?

+

€6,000 to €15,000 per month for one to three days a week. Day-rate option from €1,800 with a four day per month minimum. Number depends on days, scope, travel and reporting cadence.

[ 03 ]

How many days per week?

+

One, two or three. Most engagements start at three days a week for the first 90 days, then step down to two or one as the operation stabilises.

[ 04 ]

How long does an engagement last?

+

Typical horizon is 3 to 9 months. Exit when the operation runs without the COO or when the permanent COO is hired.

[ 05 ]

Fractional COO vs interim COO. What is the difference?

+

Fractional is part-time, ongoing, lower cost, exits by handing operations to the team. Interim is full-time, short, fills a vacant seat at full COO cost. A consultant advises; a fractional COO runs the work.

[ 06 ]

When should I hire a fractional COO?

+

When two of these are true: founder stuck running operations, scaling chaos after rapid hiring, post-raise operating model gap, integration after M&A, turnaround, or a PE value creation clock.

[ 07 ]

What does a fractional COO actually do?

+

Six things: process, systems and stack, KPIs and reporting, team and accountability, supplier and vendor management, and execution. The blocks vary by company; the seat does not.

[ 08 ]

Do you replace my CMO, CTO or CFO?

+

No. I build the operating model around those seats. I do not occupy them.

[ 09 ]

Are you a consultant?

+

No. Consultants deliver recommendations. I deliver outcomes. I am on the team, in the standup, in the tools.

[ 10 ]

Where are you based and where do you work?

+

Milan, Italy. Operating across Europe and the UK. Trilingual: English, Italian, Swedish. Remote-first with monthly on-site.

[ 11 ]

What size company is right?

+

Strongest fit between €5M and €100M revenue, 20 to 300 people. Below that an operator does most of it themselves; above that a full-time COO is the right call.

[ 12 ]

What is the first 90 days?

+

Week 1: listen and diagnose. Weeks 2 to 4: quick wins, KPI cadence, reporting live. Month 2: build process for the broken workflows. Month 3: monthly business review live and leadership team running their own operations.
